Is there a minimum number needed to book a tour?

We operate a professional private tour service on a 'Guaranteed Departure' basis, therefore there is no minimum number of clients for our tours to go ahead.  The tour is exclusive to you so, once you have received confirmation from us that your tour dates are booked, you can relax in the knowledge that your tour will commence on the date agreed.

Can we tour the highlights of Scotland and the islands in a couple of days?

It is a common misconception that Scotland is small and that it is possible to travel from one end to the other in a reletivley short period of time.  However, due to the geographical nature of our country we have many mountains, lochs and narrow country roads which increase the time it takes to get from one place to another.  We can certainly fit a lot into a days touring and we recommend giving as much time as you can to really experience what Scotland has to offer. We will happily work with you to provide the perfect Luxury Highland tour itinerary.

How many people can you take on tour?

Luxury Highland Tours is a professional private tour service that is exclusive to your group only.  We do not add other groups to your tour, nor do we accept bookings for individuals joining together to make up numbers.  Your tour is at risk of cancellation by us if we suspect that this is the case.

Do you accept children on tour?

We accept childern of all ages however we are required by law that all children be seated in child seats which we will provide for the duration of the tour.  We also offer discounts to children under 10 sharing a room with their parents - please just let us know at the time of enquiry the ages and sleeping arrangements of your group.

When are deposits and balances due?

We have a 45 day prior to arrival policy for full balance payments to be made.  We also ask for a non-refundable deposit of 25% upon booking to secure your tour.  Full details on how and when to pay will be sent to you in the form of a deposit / balance e-mail.  These payments are held in a secure account until the end of each tour.  Payment can be made via our secure online payment system or via BACS transfer.

What about insurance?

We do not sell insurance for our tours but recommend as with any travel plans that you take out adequate travel insurance from a reputable insurer to protect yourself against cancellation penalties and also to cover death, personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, loss of or damage to luggage and contents, and loss or theft of money and personal belongings.

Are you part of Visit Scotland?

We are not affiliated with Visit Scotland but we may work with them from time to time to promote Scotland and our tour services.
